LAV Filters - ffmpeg based DirectShow Splitter and Decoders
LAV Filters are a set of DirectShow filters based on the libavformat and libavcodec libraries
from the ffmpeg project, which will allow you to play virtually any format in a DirectShow player.
1.Install
Unpack and Register (install_*.bat files)
Registering requires administrative rights, and an elevated shell ("Run as Administrator")
2.Using it
By default, the splitter will register for all media formats that have been tested and found working at least partially.
This currently includes (but is not limited to) MKV/WebM, AVI, MP4/MOV, TS/M2TS/MPG, FLV, OGG, BluRay (.bdmv and .mpls)
PotPlayer calls the LAV Filters decoder method, enters the PotPlayer settings page, finds Filter Control - Filter Priority (Overall) - Add registered filter, adds LAV Spliter Source, LAV Video Decoder, and LAV Audio Decoder respectively, and selects Prefer in Priority.
PotPlayer zip is a green portable program that has been optimized and streamlined, integrating decoding component packages. It has a smaller size and can be directly run after decompression. PotPlayerMini64.exe is the main program, which can be directly run after decompression. Select number 1 to set the optimization interface and modify the program language to English, select number 2 for file association, and close it directly after running.
Potplayer installation program supports multi language selection, online download and installation of decoding component packages, and automatic program updates.
The Potplayer installation program has not been modified and supports modifying the program language on the installation interface, as well as supporting multiple languages. After installation, please download the corresponding audio and video decoding component package according to the prompts.
